How do i restore my images

Hello,
my computer has done the same as everyone alses where after it restarted all it said was <windows root>\system32\ntoskinl.exe needs to be added to my computer, i got passed this stage got my computer working by pressing f6 and followed the directions however after everything got set back up all my images of my baby that i lost had been deleted how can i restore them
