itunes Closed

Hello,
When i clikn instal for latest upgrades on my Imac it will not fully install, or upgrade maybe im just not tech savy but what could be the problem do i need more ram or a new processor. I can put songs on my Ipod from itunes besauce it wont install the upgrade
