I have a new computer to be installed with an MS OS which is being built for a friend.
the computer contains a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P
AMD Black edition CPU
2 x 2GiB G-Skill DDR3 RAM
2 x 500Gib Spinpoint HDD's
Gigabyte GTX-2600C Video card.

Last night we were able to install XP and have the computer working after we decided not to install win 7 RC 64bit due to compatability issues. So 32bit XP was chosen. Everything went flawlessly

This morning a legitimate copy of Vist 32bit was chosen and purchased. when trying to install this OS blue screens are encountered during the unpacking of files at 20% citing

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

TECH INFO

***STOP: 0x0000000A (0xCD6621c8, 0x00000002, 0x8947DBAC)

I myself am a Linux user, so install problems like this are rarely seen and the lack of a detailed humanly decododeable error reports to easily find the problems. I have searched this fault code without any results of note telling me what this actually means and where the problem lies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as my friend is wanting to use his new box, and the idea of an install of Fedora 11 is not acceptable.
