My external HD doesnt work

Hello,
My mini My book external HD isnt being reconized by either of my vista laptops as being able to be opened. I right clicked on my computer and did the disk management and it says that it still has the 184 Gb of data and that and that it is healthy (EISA Configuration). I have tried updating the driver software via windows searching online and i have data on there i cannot afford to lose for work. Does anyone know what i can do since it still says the data is there and that it is healthy? How can i get to the information and have it readable by my laptops?

Dear Sir,

I think that the hard drive is infected by some trojans,

I will advise you to update your antivirus, and scan it!

my thoshiba external 1 tb hard disk drive just going in loading, when I open my computer it going in not responding mode. right click doesnt show anything. no data shown for this drive

Hello,

This is Rathish from India. I bought both my laptop and my external drive in UK. I am using Windows 7 Home. I bought that hard drive after 18 months. when I plugged in my HDD it's not showing up d icon of the HDD. This one happens after connecting into my cousin's computer. Actually, Toshiba HDD's will turn into white color from Blue when it's plugged into a computer, but in my case, it still glows in Blue, so I don't know what is the exact problem of it. Can anyone help me to get rid of this one?

Video Memory in 64bit Vista

Ok; so I've got a slight problem with 64bit Vista. I just bought a new laptop, and I'm trying to play one of my older video games (Red Faction). I can get it installed ok, but when I try to boot I get a message telling me I don't have sufficient video memory availiable (8mb minimum). My laptop was marketed as a gaming machine, and has 4gig Ram and a Nvidia GeForce 9800 with 1gig of dedicated video ram. I don't understand how I don't have 8mb free with 5gigs of physical memory..?

When I bring up the Task Manager, it says that I'm using (average) 30% of my availiable memory, so I don't know where the problem lays...
