trouble with dios program on windows visata 6Closed

Hello,
  I tried this but I get the message this cant be done because the program is on a network drive.  I tried creating a shortcut on my workstation desktop and get the error message that it cant be run, contact the administrator.  This program will not be updatd, any other suggestions.  thans for the help

Hello, have you tried to copy the program on your local disk before running it?

Hi

Unfortunately that cant be done.  It is a multi user program and other users access the program on the server.  Their computer runs xp and the program works fine there.  The data is constantlyt upated and even if the program was on my local hard drive the data has to be on the server so everyone can use it.  I tried Tame dos but that wouldn't work.  I looked at dosbox but didn't really understand it.  I am going crazy.  Thanks for your help
