if your monitor only has vga, you need a 70$ box called vga box.
if your monitor has dvi, you need an hdmi>dvi cable.
if you have hdmi on your monitor, you just need hdmi>hdmi cable.
i'm just supposing that since your decoder is 720i, it should have hdmi, if not, the first solution is the only one avilable
