VICTIM OF SOFTWARE COUNTERFEITING

Hello,
I have been encountering some problems on a computer. Anytime I switch on my PC a starlike icon will appear with a message that reads "YOU MAY BE A VICTIM OF SOFTWARE COUNTERFEITING, THIS COPY DID NOT PASS GENUINE VALIDATION". Please help me rectify such a problem.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0
Mozilla Firefox 1.9.

hi there,

yu need to have a genuine Microsoft key

to resolve this issue

you need to purchase a genuine one from

local reseller or on official Microsoft website
