Hello,
i am trying to install Ubuntu on my computer and while i am at the boot screen i get a message that says "This kernel requires an x86-64CPU, but only detected an i1586 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropiate for your CPU. What does that mean and where am i allowed to get a different kernel or where can i update it?

Hello,

Can you show what you've downloaded?
Maybe your processor is 32-bit and iso image that you use is for a 64-bit processor
