Sound problem

Hello,how are you out there am looking for the solution to fix this problem...
my laptop is TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO U200...sound devices have been installed successfully
but can't hear any sound.don't know whether it's the hardware or software problem.
Looking forward to find solutions from you........

can you please confirm the driver that you installed?

did you recently format or install a new os?

what is it?

I have the same problem.
I have installed the SoundMax Driver from the Toshiba website.

Device Manager shows sound as working properly, but dont get any sound...

machine was reinstalled using an OEM XP disc and drivers from Toshiba site. Strange thing is the SoundMax control panel wont open after installing the software.
Some online articles suggest installing KB888111 and KB835221 but I am able to see the HD Audio Bus after uninstalling the driver so I doubt that would help.

Any ideas?

i have same problem after installing xp think the driver supplied by toshiba is bad
