Hello,
I have a new laptop with Vista. I want to be able to connect to the internet through a wireless connection to my desktop which runs Win 2000. I have established a wireless ad-hoc connection between the laptop and desktop. On the desktop, in the dialup connection properties I checked the box to enable internet sharing, and I specified the wireless network. That gave no errors. But the laptop still can't connect to the internet. How many things am I missing?

hey there,
so have you checked for the ip address and the subnet mask in the local area network. for the first computer the ip address must be 192.168.1.1 and the subnet mask must be 255.255.255.0 and as for the second one the ip address must be 192.168.1.2 and the subnet mask the same as the first..

See you
