Sir i have a problem in my pen drive plz help

Hello,
Sir whenever i insert my pendrive in my computer my pen drive is not open whenever i try to open it computers tells me to first format the pen drive then open so i dont want to loose my precious data plz help me to open it.

If you have just purchased this pendrive, you will

be compelled to format it in order to access to it.
