COD4 server problems.. HELP ME!!

Hello, my name is F.P.S.NaiLz and am having a bit of trouble with the cod4 servers.
When i went to refresh list, The severs that come up are server with very high ping mostly American and Russian (I'm Australian by the way) and there are only 3 servers that are low ping or Australian. Please answer and thank you.

I don'tplay that game, but if the game gives you the IP of the server try running a tracert to the server to see where the lag spikes....
