Hello,

After shutting down normally last night, this morning I tried switshing the computer on and just got a message on the screen to start windows normally and other options, but as I selected that it only restarted the computer. Then I read some of the suggestions here, took the hard drive out cleaned it and put it back. After that, the power would come on, blank screen, just a sound, no screen, no beep, nothing. Can anyone help me, please?

If you have a grapics card installed remove it and all pci, agp cards, i.e graphics, modem etc. Reseat the graphics card nothing else and boot up the machine see what happens.

The idea is you install 1 card at a time until u get the error which you will then know which 1 is the problem.

Could be a possible faulty data cable from monitor to pc, so try another.

If you have onboard graphics as well as graphics card remove graphics card enable the onboard vga in the bios and then try boot ensure graphics card removed from pc

thanks
