PC blacks out start beeping

Hello,
I have a PC with dual boot WXP & Ubuntu 8.04.
When I start my PC and I choose WXP from Group Bootloader my PC starts Beeping with intervals or when it boots suddenly blacks out ....when I choose Ubuntu 8.04 from Bootloader everything works fine.
Someone told me to enter my WXP istallation CD and opt for a repair.
Please let me know your recommendations.

Have tried to reboot with the CD Recovery disk successfully.
But later when I tried to reboot without the CD Recovery in
same problem persisted
