AUDIO ON CQ40-425TU COMPAQ PRESS NOT WORKING

Hello,
I recently purchased a compaq presssario CQ40-425TU . It already contains WIN-XP -SP2. On playing media player there is no sound. There is no sound at winxp startup or shutdown too. If it is a driver problem, where exactly do I get the driver from ? Thanks.

you can get the drivers fro official manufacturer website

just follow the link:

http://www.compaq.com/cpq-country/cpq_support.html


before downloading the driver check in device manger

if its missing or already installed
