Laptop locked up

Hello,
My hp pav illion xp pro is frezzeing up. My cd dvd doesnt work and wireless wont come on. I am hooked up but nothing. I took off pack 3 thought that was the reason. it helped but still cant get on,. please help me ...Cindy

hi there,

make a system restore

here are the steps to do:

Click Start>

Programs, and then Accessories>

Click System Tools and open System Restore>

now in the System Restore window,

select Restore my computer to an earlier time and

press next and follow the steps to restore your computer to an earlier date
