Hello,
I recently bought an Iomega 320Gb Select Home storage external hard drive with the intention of storing all my movies on it and watching them through my xbox 360. My friend does the same and did nothing more than plug it into his xbox and it started playing. But when I plug mine in it won't even find the hard drive. The USB ports do work, I tried them with a pen drive and it works in both ports?
Please someone help me, what am I doing wrong?

It could be beczause your external drive is formatted with NTFS - it needs to be FAT32 for the xbox to read it.
Read this set of instructions:

Good Luck

You need to format it to FAT32. Then it should work, only problem is it limits the size of files. 4GB is the limit for a single file if my memory is correct. Hope this helps, there's heaps of guides on the net too so have a look at them.
