Unable to work on windows xp

Hello,
i am unable to work on windows xp. i tried downloading the movie whole night, next day i switched on my system, i was able to log in but then blue screen appears sayin windows shut down.i cant exit from that screen and have to restart my computer, the same procedure repeats if i do so. what should i do now?

and make a system repair
