Hello,
؟Can I Connect the Processor Fan Heat Sink Cable to the air fan header?

I am using "Intel® Desktop Board D945GCCR" with foxconn cooler fan 3 pin,

Actually I did connect the cooler fan, to the air fan header, It had reduced the noise dramatically "quite silent", but the heat increased by 10 degrees c.

My question is that, what I have done, would harm my CPU or the motherboard?

hi there,

have you placed it on the right position?

is it extracting the heat or reverse?

please check and revert back

it can damage both if it reaches very high temperature

Thanks
sorry for being late!!

have you placed it on the right position?

No, I did placed it in rear fan header.

is it extracting the heat or reverse?

I can not tell.

But the fan is running high speed once the CPU is overheated, as if I'm using 4 pin for CPU fan.

I tried it for more then 12hrs and seems all right.

Max heat for cpu reached 65c degree once it's overloaded using "AVG" Min at idle 49c degree

I just want to know what I'm doing is right or wrong.

Thanks alot for your reply and support.
