Gta 4 problem

Hello,
i have core2duo 2.4ghz and 3 gb of ram n 512mb of nvidia 8600 and xp service pack 3 but still my gta4 is slow plz tell me how to improve its performance

Dear Sir,

You will have to boost up your virtual memory and Ram memory.

Please carry out the below instructions to do it:

Determining How Much RAM Memory and Virtual Memory You Require

Increasing the Virtual Memory

thank you for answering my problem but i m little confuse about the setting which you have send to me. my setting is much higher than u have written initial size(MB) 2046, maximum size(MB) 4092 ,

so plz tell me what shall i do to improve my gta4 speed
