No Power

Hello,
I have a HP Laptop. The AC/DC Power cord is plugged into the wall and the blue light lights up on the laptop.
When I press the on switch on the laptop nothing happens. Could you give me some solutions as to why I cannot power up the laptop

hi there,'

check the input power at end of the adapter with a multimeter

if no joy then change the battery
