Dvd rom drive not showing, not even in bios.

Hello,
i have recently purchased a toshiba satellight A1OO series laptop from ebay, nice bit of kit.
the problem im having with it is, no dvd rom drive can be found on screen or in the bios.
could someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this problem.
do i need to find and install motherboard drivers ?

hi there,

under your laptop you will see one screw just after the

end of the cd drive remove it and pull cd drive

then start laptop without it

and make a shutdown and reinsert it back and start laptop you

will find it there
