Help with reboot on 1170 media center

Hello,
I had unplugged my computer for a couple weeks went to go set it up and now it will not boot. get message (REBOOT AND SELECT PROPER BOOT DEVICE OR INSERT BOOT MEDIA IN SELECTED BOOT DEVICE AND PRESS ANY KEY) I tried going into setup and reboot nothing works i oredered a recovery cd tried to run it says to run in cd-rom but no option for it there is only dvdrw so ran in there and still returns same message. any help would be greatly appreciated!

You probably have a dead hard drive from the symptoms you describe.
