Hello,
can not format hdd found not initialised click on initialise in disk manager comes up not not ready

plug hdd into usb does not show up in my computer went to disk manager shows disk 2 unknown not initialised right click click initialise box appears not ready what else do need to know thanks

You need to format the hdd via the Tv.

Laurel is correct. You need to plug it into the TV using HDMI or AV connection and follow the on-screen instructions to self-format the drive. Then the PC will recognise it as a storage device.
