80Gb Ide type Hard disk Can't Format

Hello Sir

I have one 80Gb IDE type Seagate Hard disk It can't be Format , When i m try to format hard disk with os cd (in Bios Mode show PATA) after 20% complete its show error n also i m in windows its all partitions when i m try to format Windows shows "Windows unable to format " So pls Help me Sir i m waiting........................Thank you sir

hi there,

you need to change the hard drive

or format it from other pc and determine results obtained

Thanks for replay ,i am try to format hard disk with other pc but Windows shows error "windows unable to format" n i close this dailogue box suddanly all corrupted drives are unvisible.pls solution me or give me a Hard disk format Software ..can you tell what is the current problem of this hard disk..........replay soon

actually in my harddrive. i don't know how to format . in it's booklet it is written firstformat your drive then only you will be able to see the hard drive on "my computer" and can use it. pls help me my hard drives company is Lacie
