Hello,

I replaced the SATA hard drive on my computer. The hard drive is listed as drive I. It will not let me remap it to drive C. This is causing problems with a download for an anitivirus software, which automatically goes to drive C. How can I get the drive to be drive C again. I called dell, they were no help. They said to turn USB to no boot, which I did, and to reinstall the OS disk. Nothing changed. Does anyone have a clue as to how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help.

you cant change the drive to c as this is allocated directly by windows and what you can do is to format the hard disk on the same computer and then it will be allocated c
