Went off when charging

Hello,
I was charging my laptop, suddenly the laptop automatically went off.i then decided to on but didn't on.i plugged the charger and try to on it, it stopped charging.pls help me.

Dear Siloland,

The problem could be with the battery being faulty. Please

try another battery on it to confirm that the source of the

problem is really the battery.
