Hello,
My HD DV6000 is doing the same thing...the screen is BLACK and it will not BOOT....
Do I take it to Best Buy or somewhere else? I live in Detroit, MI...

That HP model has common motherboard problems. Take it to Best Buy and get an estimate. You might find it's cheaper to buy a new laptop than fix the old one. Sorry
