No audio but device manager ok

Hello,

Im using xp OS and a compaq laptop.
I dont have any sound coming out of my system. I already tried the HELP menu but the device manager/sound device doesnt seem to have any problems at all...
I really need to have this resolved. Please do email me.

you need to update/re-install your audio driver . have you try for it? insert your main board disk which content the driver and then re-install the audio driver.
