I can't download itunes

Hello,
i have tried numerous times to download itunes to my computer, each time it says download sucessfull, but when i try to open itunes, an error box opens saying download error please try downloading again....what am i doing wrong?

It sounds like you have a bad internet connection. Are you downloading directly from Apple?
