Hello,
I've got a problem. My disc drive on my IBM ThinkPad laptop is suddenly not working. The light doesn't even flash when I hit the open button. I don't know how to open it and I can't think of how it broke. I'm very careful with my laptop and know it hasn't been hit or cracked or anything. Worst of all I've got a DVD in the drive and I need to get it out. Is there any way I can save both my CD ROM slot and my DVD?

There should be a small hole in the face on the DVD drive. You need to insert a small wire (bend open a large paper clip) into the hole and press until the drive opens.
Good Luck
