Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A215 S7422 laptop. It came with Vista, but I have successfully installed XP Professional on it. I downloaded drivers for the wireless adapter from Toshiba for an older model laptop and got that going. Everything seems to work except the sound. In device manager, it shows Audio codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Captere devices, Media control devices, and Video codecs, all appear normal.

If I go into the control panel's "Sounds and audio devices", it shows "No Playback Devices" and "No recording devices". I've searched Tosiba's site for drivers, but they don't seem to have any for that.

Belarc shows "None detected" for Multimedia and for Display, although the display works just fine.

I can probably live without sound, but it sure would be nice to have....

Thanks.

If the above solution doesn't work you are probably missing the High Definition Audio class driver.

You can download that here:
