Acer d 150 windows xp repair

Hello,
i am using acer d150 notebook. i am facing problem while running xp in normal mode. it shows a blue screen and then system restarts. but my concern over here is that is there any way i can repair my windows xp without formatting the whole hard drive, so that i can keep my all files working.

i will be happy if anyone can give me suggestion.

hi there,

boot from windows installation cd

and select r to make repair it will repair missing and corrupted files

pleas give more information on

the blue screen error message and codes
