After installed adobe flash player

Hello,
i downloaded the adobe flash player. it comes up with do u want to continue, and i press "continue" n then afterwards it starts installing, but after it has installed, all it says is "close" n then i press close but then nothing happens after that. like the flash player programs cannot be played or anything??why is it like this?
if any of you computer pro ppl out there that noes what to do plz help meeee
