Please help me, I've just bought an mp3 player, according to the instructions
I should be able to plug it in to the usb port and it should work straight
off. (am running windows 2000 pro) However when I plug it in the computer
recognises new hardware as 'USB 2.0 (fs) ADFU device' and tells me to insert
USB mass storage device CD to get 'AdfuUd.sys'. Firstly I don't have a disk,
and secondly I can't find 'AdfuUd.sys' on my computer/online/or on the disk
that came with the mp3 player (the only driver on that is one for windows
98). Please can anyone help me, I'm pulling my hair out!

u probably dont have administrative rights

u either have to log in as an administrator

and install the program

or log in as an administrator and change the administrative privilages of the user name on which u tried to install this prog

in this case i asume the log in nmae will be ur own name

awaiting response from ur end

WOW talk like a human please! I wanna be able to help but you folks can hardly put sentences together! Ipod folks, download and install iTunes solves all your problems, look at apple.com for the faq section. Sharper image folks, google search whatever version or type of mp3 player you have driver and download and install one.
