Laptop will not boot, does nothing
Closed
Hello,
My Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop was working fine earlier tonight and then I left the room and it went into sleep mode. When I went to get back on it locked up and wouldn't let me type all of the Vista password, only a couple letters. I then turned off the computer and now when I turn it on it just makes a few weird noises and just sits there--I don't get any kind of screen at all. I tried restarting in safe mode but again it did nothing at all. What in the world is the problem? I just got this laptop a month and a half ago!! Piece of crap!!! Please help me...

Thanks for your reply. I bought the computer from Dell's website and received it around the end of July. I guess I can contact them and see what they say. If the data can't be recovered it's not a big deal since I saved most of my stuff to my flash drive.
I was having problems with my laptop that day (September 11, ironically) and just wanted everyone to know that I took it to work with me the next day and later that afternoon it mysteriously started working again and has been fine ever since. Now if I leave the room for awhile I make sure I just shut it down, I don't let it go into sleep mode because then I seem to have problems.

hey there,
windows surely encountered some problems while sector writing. you told me that its new and that you just got it. what did you mean ? you bought it or you got is as a gift? just try to bring it back where you have bought it and then have it exchanged for another one there.
