Showing errors and shutting down

Hello,
i changed my RAM from 256MB to 1GB.when i inserted 1GB RAM and started my system it is showing errors that some of my applications has been crashed and sometimes it restarts automatically .Is it's RAM problem or something else.Give me reply

Dear Rahul,

Please check whether the RAM sticks have been correctly inserted. This might be why it is causing such trouble.
