Question

Hello, i lost my admin password and the ophcrack doesnt work, at the end it says password not found, at this point im tired of going through all the steps. Im planning on rebooting the computer and reformat it to factory condition, would this also erase the admin password? thank you

Hi there,

Ophcrack does not work on preloaded windows on computers,returning t to factory default setting will not erase the password as it needs the password you used first time on the laptop.other thing you can do is to format it from another windows os and use your recovery cd and restore it factory setting with a new password,link below from Faq also have a solution to reset admin password:
