Windows media player is not installing

Hello,
i have downloaded windows mediaplayer 10 and while installing its gives a error message like this..This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows...iam using windows XP professional service pack 2...pls suggest me about my problem..pls pls....thaanx in advance

check and see if you downloaded the 32 or 64 bit version,
