Hello,
my computer crashed and i installed windows xp pro on my desktop.nw when i try to play any songs on my windows media player or real player or any player it says Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.i really want to hear songs on my desktop..please help me

After re-installing Windows you sometimes need to download (and install) the motherboard drivers (including the sound driver). Your first place to search is the manufacturers web site. under "support" or "downloads"

Good Luck
