Hello,
I have a 20 gigabyte hard disk and as a back up I told myself that a 40gigabyte which my brother gave me would suite me and so he formatted it on windows xp and gave it to me but then when I connected to my computer I can see it in the bios configuration but not in windows why? And what can I do to make things alright?

Hi,
As long as you can see it in the bios get the windows cd loaded and then do a fdisk and afer a format with it. It should be working fine after.
