Flash player problems- please help

Hello,
i have windows vista and my internet is set up with safari. It says that Flash Player 9 is installed on my computer. When i go into computer-windows-system 32-macromed- flash folder. i have tried to make flash9b.ocx the administer program, but it will not do it. It leaves the uninstall-plugin the administer. i don't know where to go from here, does anyone know?
