Problem installing windos

Hello,

having a stupid problem that im too tired to think to fix so im asking anyone for a hand. I cant boot from windows xp cd because its missing boot.ini . exact line is Missing boot.ini booting from C:/windows.


so how do i re-install windows when i cant get to the windows boot screen, or the windows setup screen.

what do i do to install windows/boot ini file

btw im going from newer version to older version of windows xp

Hi there,

Insert your windows installation cd,while booting system press del to enter setup,now change boot sequence making cd/dvd driver first boot device on boot priority,save and exit and restart system,you will be reacquired to press any key when asked,and follow instructions on screen.
