ok i bought a acer lap top with vista and upgraded to windows 7 and when i turn on my computer it will show my dvd drive in my my computer but unless i immediately use it it will quit showing it whatso ever in my computer. a message pops up That says a device was recently connected but is no longer but if it is a port multiplier of zero etc all i could determine from this is maybe my computer is shutting its dvd drive off and i am not sure why. could someone help me here. i can't find a update for my driver so i don't think that's it
i already did the thing about removing upper and lower filters. that didnt work. my dvd drive shows up when i first turnon my laptop and will play whatever is in it. but then if i eject it and ut another one in it wont play that second disc cause my dvd drive disappears from my computer.
