Hello, I have a problem with wireless access.

I have a wireless at home which works fine but if I try to access the internet through any other wireless I get "webpage cannot be displayed message" in Internet Explorer and similar in Firefox.

The connection is always good and I have tried:

in cmd ping news.google.com which led to an error message of some kind
and then ping 74.125.19.104 which produced a message quoting packages sent etc.

Also, cannot remember where but when trying to solve this I came across a dnserror message.

I am at a loss. Can anybody help Please???????

Thanks

to use wireless away from your default connection at home you need to get the wireless card to SCAN for active access points - then you need to select the one you want and supply the needed key/password.

Have you done this?

Hi xpcman, I go via the wireless icon at bottom of screen to view available wireless networks, choose the one I want and enter passwords as requested, for example in Costa's they give you a code to enter. I thought that's all you need to do? Thanks for trying to help.
