Hello,

Please help me i want the best hardware i can use to connect a wireless internet for a Hotel and also the billing system for our quests. such that a guest comes with his or her own laptop, he pays for the wireless internet and then gets the authorisation and his slip. otherwise, the internet billing added to the whole guest bill.

No one should just come in and steal our internet. the acess points must be all around the guest rooms, conference room, coffee shop and even outside the building, like at the pool.

Please help i'm desparate!

thank you

Go to any ISP vendor ........get a public IP registered to your name (one to which the ISP vendor has access to) and then ask him to provide a class B private range ip to all the computers in your hotel. The vendor will set-up a router which will point to that public IP and will also configure your wireless connection.

Now the question of internet connection speed. I guess 10Mbps should work for you.

So if your hotel has 300 guests at any point of time...each of them will have an internet connectivity speed of 10M/300 = .3 Mbps , which is not bad at all. The downloading speed will obviously be less than the connecitvity speed but than can be increased with speed boosters.

You should be all set, as long as the router is switched on , your hotel guests should be able to access the internet from any place in and around the hotel.
