Cant boot my windows XP from my BIOS

Hello,
i wanna format my pc but i cant reach my XP software from my CDROM ! i went to the bios to let my computer boots from CDROM but nothing work .
My computer wont start after the post beep , it goes to windows XP page than turn off , that why i wana format it but i cant start the XP CD from the CDROM ,
any help pls

Hi there,

For booting cd ,change boot sequence in bios making it boot priority,first on boot device list,save and exit settings.Or press F12,F1,F10 depending on model on motherboard to get boot menu and make selection .
