Black screen

Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satelite and the screen is black. I can only see the screen when the sun is on it. I I try it in the dark the screen is totally black. The computer is running as I can hear the windows opening up and fans running. It's 5 AM. and I wil try some other things later but what esle can I do?

This sound like a failure of the screen "inverter" or "backlight' neither of these items can be fixed by the end user. I suggest you find a good laptop repair shop to fix it.
