Problem with adobe files (.pdf)

Hello,

1. I have aproblem with opening of pdf files. i have tried opening with right click, open with method. also from control panel choose software method but it just dosent select adobe as default program.

2. i uninstalled adobe and installed it again from website of adobe but of no use.

3. presently i open adobe file by opening adobe reader first and then browsing for the file to open it.

4. can some one please help me get rid of this cumbersome procedure. i would be gr8ful as i am prep for my exams and it consumes a lot of time.

go to Control Panel - Default Programs - Associate a file type or protocol with a program then page down to .pdf and change it to use Adobe Reader. You may have a rogue program that is associating itself with pdf files.

1. thanks a lot for the concern but the problem still exists.

2. once i click on change program and select adobe reader by browsing it just dosent accept it. however if i select word or any other application it accepts it.

3. please if you could or anyone help me out.
