Hello, if i enter in excel as 10-20 it showing me as 10 oct if i enter 20-30 it is giving me 20-30 plz solve my problem

10-20 it is considering at date 10=oct and 20 as day of month


20-30 is not a date so it ignores it

depends what are you trying to do. If you want to make 10-20 to appear as 10-20, you can put a ' in front
or have the cell to be formatted as text

Excel tries to guess the formatting for anything you enter. Numbers that might be dates 10/10 10/10/10, 10-10 usually get picked as dates. If you want it to show up without any formatting precede it with a single quote. '10/10 is treated as text.
